Psychological First Aid Practitioner Training
CPD Accredited by The CPD Standards Office
· 15 Hours · 2 Full Days
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Psychological First Aid Practitioner Training is a practice-based certification programme that equips participants with the competency to provide safe, ethical, and structured initial psychosocial support to individuals following disasters, workplace accidents, sudden loss, crises, and other highly stressful events.
The programme aims to enable participants to recognise acute stress reactions that may arise during crises, to establish safe and supportive communication, to assess the safety and other possible needs of the individual, and to make appropriate referrals to support mechanisms when required. The "Look – Listen – Link" approach is explored through case analyses, group activities, and role-play exercises.
The programme also places the protection of the helper at its centre, addressing the recognition of secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout risks, as well as the development of a personal self-care plan. The programme has been accredited by The CPD Standards Office and awards participants an internationally recognised CPD certificate.
