Psychosocial Risks Report – Current Situation Analysis and Recommendations
Measures and studies on occupational health and safety have made it necessary to work on psychosocial risks, which are an integral part of the health and safety system. Today, we see that organizations are faced with important changes with the changing business conditions and business relations.
Basic principles on occupational health and safety according to ILO (International Labor Organization) standards; It states that the work should take place in a healthy and safe working environment, that the working conditions should be consistent with the welfare and human dignity of the employee, and that the work should offer opportunities for success, self-realization and service to the society in the life of the employees. From this point of view, it is very important for countries to develop standards that will be valid on psychosocial risks within the scope of occupational health and safety studies.
This report aims to examine the current situation in the world and in our country in order to improve the legislation and practices in Turkey in the context of psychosocial risks; Based on these reviews, it has been prepared to offer suggestions on what should be done about this issue in our country. It is a guide in terms of emphasizing the importance of identifying psychosocial risks in workplaces and dealing with studies in this field in an interdisciplinary way in our country as well as in different countries of the world.
We sincerely believe that every step taken by the public, private sector, academia and non-governmental organizations will contribute to the development of standards on psychosocial risks in our country.
